The soprano Steffi Fischer began her studies with K.D. Kern at the University of Music Karlsruhe. She continued her training with Gabriella Lichter-Maxende at the Detmold University of Music and completed her pedagogical certification with the BDG.

Since 2008 the freelance singer has been heard in numerous concerts in sacred music and with various lieder programmes.

Important artistic impulses come from the Ensemble für neue Musik Schloss Hamborn, among others. Her repertoire spans classical-romantic song literature and that of the 20th century, as well as lyric operatic roles, with particular emphasis on Haydn and Mozart — and in oratorio, baroque repertoire especially J.S. Bach.

Since the 2016/17 season, Steffi Fischer has been a permanent member of the opera chorus and also performs as a soloist at Theater für Niedersachsen in Hildesheim.
